Default DFCO 98-2000 vs. 2001-02

Efilive shows two temp enablers for DFCO: "DFCO M6 enable temp" and "DFCO temp enable". I noticed that the first one, M6 enable, is set to 140 C for the 2000 or earlier years, and 50 C for 2001-02. (The other one is set to -30 C for all years.) So seems to mean that for 98-2000 M6 cars, DFCO is never enabled, right? (140 C is 284 F, mine never gets anywhere near that temp.) And for 2001+ it's enabled. I'm curious if anyone know why the difference. I'm using a 2002 OS (2000 Camaro), and had the 02 DFCO settings for awhile, then changed to to 00 settings, and it definitely feels different.

Default

Actually I should say 99-2000, I didn't check a 98 file.
