cam sensor code p0343

i have had this code since i put a new 402 in my 02 z06. i can't seem to get rid of it, i changed out the sensor and harness and still no luck. i pulled the timing cover off and everything is good. anybody have any ideas?

Did you use an extension harness? If so some of them have 2 of the wires that need to be swapped. When the wires are wrong you get the cam sensor coed.

yea i have an extension. the original one was from texas speed and then i put a racetronix harness on and same thing. which wires have to be swapped out?

The 2 end ones. You have 3 wires, leave the middle one alone and swap the 2 end ones on ONE side only. I had to do the same thing.

I have had the same issue for months now. I have swapped the wires, checked the timing gear and replaced the sensor and extension harness. Please let me know if you find some other method which resolves this issue.

I'm pretty sure this will have the same type of issue if you don't have all your grounds connected.Check all of your grounds behind your block(F-Body)and my guess would be that you missed a ground wire to the block or head.Give it a shot......could be your problem?!Traver
