i have a 2000 z28 and when i start the car it dies 10 sec. later.
I have checked fuel pressure and it appears to be good. so i put a scanner on the car and it threw a code saying something about the theft deterent system.
is their any way i can bypass this?

If the VAT's is what is killing it, then yes you can bybass it. You need to get someone with EFILive or HPT to fix you up.

 

i had the bcm and the whole ignition.

 

The pcm will need to be programmed more than likely. Even after you get it running it will throw lots of codes unless you set them up correctly..

wire colors the same on the '00. at the bcm d7 and c2 is where you wire the resistor. there are some good reads on vats here

got the car running!! i just unplugged the wires and plugged them back in on the bcm. so far so good! thanks for all the help
