Default Different PCM in car?

Will I have problems using a 2002 PCM in a 99? Changing from M6 to A4.

there are alot of differences in the tables & parameters between the two so it can cause problems if you don't tune for that fact.

I was told, could have problems because the VIN was not the same as my original.

like I said there are so many factors when completely swapping pcm's.

Most would recommend just keeping your stock pcm & reprogramming/flashing it for your needs.
