pcu re learning after headers?

Default pcu re learning after headers?

so im putting my headers on today and dont have time or money to get it tuned for another month or so and my dad not knowing much about my car says that i need to drive it like a grandma while the pcu re learns with headers and everything...

is this true? or should i drive it like normal? or should i drive it like i stole it?

Drive it normal. But, if you go WOT, it may be lean. The LTFT's will update over the first 100 miles and several key on/key off driving cycles. Get into it a little though. That way the cells under load can learn too. Once they do, the positive fuel trims will transfer to WOT and add in some extra fuel. Keep in mind, it still could be lean. You really need to find someone with a scanner and a WBO2 to be sure.
