how can i view what gear i am in with hp tunners, i am having some trans problems.
sorry for the newbie question.

ok i got it to work.

does this tell me what the actual gear i am in, or what the computer is telling
the transmission?

i thought i lost 4th gear, but its telling me i am in 4th.

also when i try to rean the vcm i get

preparing vcm- FAILED.
timed out
any idea?

tune is not locked, the car was running.

You can't have the car running, it just need to have the key in the run position, not running
