car wont turn over!! security light is on?
I don't know of a way to bypass the chip sorry.
It is the VATS system, its the little pellet in the key. It has a module that confirms the right key is in the ignition, If it doesn't like what it sees, it inhibits the starter and the injectors. Biggest problem we see with that is the ignition cylinder in the steering column, there are two little contacts that touch the pellet in the key. after a few thousand key cycles they wear and kinda spring open and become unreliable. The lock cylinder that your key turns has a little set of contacts to match up with the resistor pellet. Kinda like the little brushes on a kids ( yeah I still got one ) H.O. race car. After a few thousand times, the brushes start to deteriorate, and intermittants surface. A Dealership has a special tool that plugs in at the base of the steering column that performs the same function as your key,
So it can be tested.
Hope this helps.
