Question On Rear O2 Sensors After Programming Out
If I have removed my Cats, and had the rear O2 sensors programmed out, do I still need to retain the rear O2 sensors plugged into the rear leads?
Just wondered, cause I have an aftermarket Y-pipe that has rear O2 bungs - right now the factory rear O2's are screwed into the bungs and plugged into their respective harnesses even though they have been programmed out.
Maybe they were just reinstalled to plug the bungs because the tuner did not have any appropriate size plugs.
Only reason I'm asking, is that I want to install my new WB O2 sensor into one of the bungs, but don't want to mess up anything by unplugging one of the stock rear O2's that should be redundant at this point.
So basically, if the rear O2's have been programmed out - do you still need to have them plugged into the harnesses?
TIA,

Are rear O2's normally heated? I know if you leave the fronts in for too long without being heated they go bad permanently. If youre going to unplug them, might want to remove them and put in plugs.
