Default Cam Position Sensor Problem

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just finished my motor install last night and I fired it up. The motor fired right up and idled and ran fine for about fifteen minutes. My dipstick tube wasn't in all the way and leaked some oil out. I installed it all the way and let the car be for the night. When I fired it up this mroning it ran fine for about 10 seconds and then died. It was very hard to start back up abd when it does the factory tach stops working intermittently. My aftermarket tach and HP tuners show rpms just fine.I now hav a P0343 code Camshaft Position Sensor High Voltage. I bought a a new camshaft and crankshaft sensor and installed them. Same code. I checked the 3 grounds on the bcak driver's side head. I checked the passenger side ground to the block and the driver's side to the chassis. I also added another groun from the driver's sdie of the block to the chassis. I pulled the front cover and all of my cam bolts were exactly to torque. I also used a multi-meter and checked the voltage to the camshaft sensor plug with the key on and I had 10.5 volts when my meter was set to 20 on the DC side. I haven't found any burnt wires but that is all I can think of that is left.

Any ideas or help?

I just finished installing my 347 ls1 back in today after taking it out and having it forged and it was running fine but HP tuners is throwing the cam positioning sensor code but in a low voltage mode. So i would like to know this as well!!! The car idle's fine, sounds good, i drove it and it drove fine and nothing bad was recorded on HP tuners and no knocks or ticks are heard... maybe its just becuase its a fresh motor that the computer has to learn stuff again??? i dunno... COULD ANYONE CHIME IN!!?

check voltage at the sensor and at the PCM
check resistance from sensor to PCM

this should tell you if there's a wire problem or power problem

For the heck of it... do a case learn (option in HP Tuners)

I checked the continuity from the sensor plug to the PCM connector plug and all three wires checked out fine. As far as voltage with the key in the run position, the engine off. and the mulitmeter at 20 DC I get 10.54. The only other thing I can think of is that I have all 3 of my grounds on the same bol on the back of the driver's side head. I have run it this was for 3 years with no problems.
