OSX plus Tuning suite?
OSX plus Tuning suite? Okay, I have a question....
I have an Apple MacBook Pro, and I have Mac OS X Tiger for the operating system... now, what I would like to know is, Will HP tuners or LS1edit or any other tuning suite work with my Operating System, or is it for windows only...
The unit is an Intel based book, so it can run on both windows and OS X but I just wanted to know if I could install it and run it on my Apple operating system, and not have to run it through windows....
Anyone know? I know I might have made this more confusing, as I am not much of a Techie... but anyway, if someone could clear this up for me, I would be pleased....

THere are no tuning packages currently that will run natively on cra er apples
Since your unit is Intel based you can put Windows on as a 2nd OS. I know there are people running HP Tuners via emulation (I think it's bootcamp? where you can run another OS over your existing oS), not sure about EFI Live, but I would think it would work also
But at present, bottom line is that you MUST run a windows operating system (native or via an emulator) in order to run any of the tuning solutions available now for the stock PCM.

though... for the price of a windows OS license (if you do run windows run XP... vista sux) you may be better off buying a cheap Windows Native laptop off ebay or something... 1ghz laptops can be had cheap and should come preloaded with an OS
