Goods and Bads of Setting Your REV limiter lower
I've read that setting it to high is hard on the engine. Just Curious and
and Trying to figure what settings are best on the Predator.
THANKS ALREADY :p
Example:
Rev Limiter (fuel shutoff) stock: 6200
Fuel restart: 6199
What is hard on the car is bouncing back and forth.
I've raised my limiter to 6300 rpms, and lowered the restart to 6100 rpms...so there is a 200 rpm buffer in there instead of a whopping 1 rpm buffer. The engine doesn't seem to mind hitting the limiter in between shifts as much anymore. There is no reason to have such a small window between cutoff/restart.
What you may consider doing is lowering the point when the fuel starts flowing again.
Fuel restart: 6199
What Exactly do you mean restart? is that the shift points?
sorry I'm new at this!! Thanks Already
