Remidies for Knock
Remidies for Knock Allright im about tired of this knock im picking up at wot (about 3 degrees). I know this has to be the reason for my recent drop in the eigth mile. I do not have atap, efi live, etc. to scan my car but did use a friends predator once and one of my 02 sensors is low. Could this be the reason for my knock? Also could a maft sovle my problem or predator tuning? I know without the details this is a long shot to make a good theroy, but any guess would be appriciated. Thx guys for any help. Also my car ran consistant 8.5s with just a cutout and fra. But when I added a lid and descreened my maf I dropped to a 8.8. Mabey my problem is with one of those mods.

Re: Remidies for Knock Those last mods really could have made you lean, but without logging the actual values with ATAP, you really shouldn't go shooting in the dark.
One thing to consider, oil contamination causes knock. Are you consuming any oil at WOT perhaps through your PCV valve? (a common condition).

Re: Remidies for Knock a descreaned maf can cause you to loose performance i hear beacouse it allows teburlant air to enter the tb and it does not allow for proper maf measurments im no mechanic but ive heard form others to stay away from that mod
