How important is the speedo to your tune...
How important is the speedo to your tune... I had an M6 car that I converted to a Th400. I no longer need the speedo since it's pretty much just a drag setup. Does this have any affect on the computer/tune and if so, what should I change? I've gotten rid of the VSS code and it's set to not report in the HPTuners.
I know alot of the A4 cars have their shiftpoints based on mph/tps if I remember right.
Just trying to make sure before I start splicing into the abs wheel speed sensor to get the speedo working again.
edit - it is a full manual valvebody TH400.

VSS for a non-computer-controlled trans is only used for TCC lock (if equipped). Otherwise the VSS is useless. I do not have a VSS signal in our Z28 with a RVMB TH400. 
VSS for this kind of application is only to scan what MPH you are at.
