Okay ive been doing some research and doing a lot of googling, so far ive seen that i can get a cable for my laptop and connect it to my obd1 system, but from what ive seen i can download a free software that will scan it to see if its running correctly, does anyone know about that and where i might be able to find it? I need some info bout this because i want to find out whats wrong with my LT1, thanks.

 

Where are you looking at the cables? (What site) I believe there is a particular site that offers the software if you purchase his cable. But being OBDII, I did not bookmark it.
