anyway to unlock a pcm? I have a freind that purchased efilive But he was frutstrated with trying to tune himself so he sold me the efilive and had his car tuned at a local shop. Now he has found out that his tune is way off and he's having idle issues. So we decided that I would tune it for him. But when I try to pull the tune it says its locked any one have any ideas?
You can flash the pcm back to a stock tune, but it has to be removed from the car to do so. I don't know how to do it, try a search. My tuner flashed mine back to stock once because it was locked. Been there, done that...

If it is a early ls1 pcm then it can probably be unlocked. The later gm pcm are almost impossible to unlock.
Find a local hacker and you should be sorted
