Hey all,
I am looking into buying a wideband gauge for tuning. Which one is preferred and why? PLease give reasons for your vote.

I use lc-1's and lm-1's for ease of install and low price. HOWEVER, the lc-1 WILL **** up if installed improperly or used with low battery voltage. It has absolutely NO protection against current being fed into the outputs, and it will NOT work if the voltage at the feed wires is low for ANY reason. I work with electronics for a living, so this normally doesn't bother me, but I did have a problem once with a gauge backfeeding voltage into the lc-1 outputs. The lc-1 serial output still worked, but it IMMEDIATELY fried the analog outputs. They are excellent gauges for the price, but if you get sloppy with the install you could end up with a paperweight.

I believe there was some article on pretty much all the widebands out on the market a few months back. And from what I remember, the innovative brand scored the best.

I have the Dynojet wideband commander. I like it alot. It will engage nitrous for you and allow you to set the a/f pameter that you want nitrous to be used. Example, if you set it up to only allow nitrous to be activated if a/f ratios is between 11.5:1 - 12.0:1 then it will not engage the nitrous unless the a/f ratio is in that paremeter.

It has a ton of other features as well.

Here is the article I read... they compare AEM, Dynojet, FAST, FJO, Innovate, NGK, PLX, Zeitronix widebands... Interesting article.

The LC-1 was a pain to hook-up, but mine works well and is accurate. I like it. If I were to do it again though, I'd pay the extra $100 for the LM-1.

It took me an hour or so to hook up my LC1 and the guage. This was after I had the bung welded in though. I thought it was fairly easy to be honest.
