found miss but why?

found miss but why? We finally got the proper 'candy' for the VDR and I did a recording as I thought that my high speed miss was definitely mechanical. According to the VDR the MAF is going from over 10,000 to about 4300 from about 6000 to 6150 rpm?! So the airflow is really going south, but why?
Now what the hell is this; took it off and cleaned it as per their instructions and the Vararam is both clean and sealed and it did it again, went home and tried a MAF I have with the screens removed and the same damn thing!!
Ideas? Only seems to happen when the air is slightly pressurized and I can not figure it out, even taped the VR halves to insure no leakage and the clamps/hoses etc. are all perfect.
