what will prevent P.E tables from working I recentley installed a procharger and new injectors on an otherwise stock motor. I am using LS1edit to tune. I've got the car to idle and drive fine but WOT is way to rich. When I try to take fuel out in the P.E tables nothing seems to happen. What would cause this? Is there something else that has to be done first?
Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working We tried changing the COT, but it made no difference. For fueling we multiplied the stock flow rate by the increase in injector size. I went up to 50lbs.ers, the new number was around 7 I believe. 192% of stock.

Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working No, I mean how are you determining if your PE changes are having an effect? Do you have a wideband, stock o2's, injectors pulsewidth, etc?
Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working We hook up a wideband O2 sensor, and it pegs at 9/1 so it might be even richer. And o2's are stock. Did we get the flow rate table right?

Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working Does you procharger have the Aeromotive boost pump that comes on only when you have boost? I re-wire those because with two different fuel pressures, it makes PT and WOT tuning a nightmare (can be done though). You basically have two different flow rates to deal with.

Mikey's suggestion sounds like it was dead on - I didn't know they were hooked up like that, but if they were that would definitely cause the problems you describe.

Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working Your flow rate is way too high in my opinion based on my very limited expreience. I, too am going throught this after recently putting in some SVO 42's which are like 50lbs at the pressure I am running. I am a little rich and I have the IFR around 5.3 or so. I think 7 would be too far out of the ball park. Someone feel free to correct me.

I can't remember the exact number, around 3.8 or so I belive, they used but the car idles and drives normal fine so I assume they got that right. I believe they used a flat percentage increase across the board, is this correct or do you have to give it a higher value at higher RPM? The stock P.E table number is 1.15. The problem is that when we tried changing this, nothing happened. I think they tried going all the way down to about .2. That's our biggest problem, lack of effect.

Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working 3.8 is wayyyy to low for the flow rate for SVO 42's @ LS1 fuel pressures (58 or so psi) - that would account for a tremendously rich condition - if you had the injector size set to large you would run initially lean (until/unless the o2's corrected).
The actual values depend on if you have a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator or not, 6.4-7 sounds like a much better ballpark

Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working Ok, if my flow rate table is set at 3.8 (to low)would the computer (o2's) be able to adjust enough at idle and part throttle to compensate but at WOT not enough? Does the computer end up still thinking the injectors aren't very big so it opens them up as much as possible when it goes into WOT mode? If this is the case do I just set the flow rate with a percentage across the board or do I need to adjust each part individually?

Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working what are your l-trims like? At that flow rate they will probably be -25 - the bad injector flow rate can cause strange other problems also - I would get that corrected and then re-evaluate where you are at.

Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working I am not running a pressure referenced regulator. What number would you recomend starting with? The math comes out to be about 6.9 I believe. Sound good? Do I put this number in the 0 kpa box only or should I run the same number throughout?
Re: what will prevent P.E tables from working Went back to shop today and tried the new Flow table numbers and she's finally alive!! They were definately too low. Now we just need to fine tune. Thanks for the help guys.
