Default Tuning question, can someone help find the answer.

If I'm getting major pinging/marbles-sound (suspected detonation) from my motor at WOT, but no KR showing from ATAP, what could it be?
Misfire????

I show 11 degrees of KR at part throttle with no more than 15% throttle position.

Timing is set at 26 degrees.

Motor is in sig., none nitrous motor.

I am assuming the PCM is tuned - it is possibly that a cap has been set on timing retard at high rpm - this would be my guess from what your description is.

Tuned by Ed Wright. All my problems started immediately after the tune, the prior 3 months the motor ran perfect. He said there is nothing wrong with the tune it must be my motor. So I'm doing the recommended checks that ARE said to do, then if that doesn't work it will obviously be the tune.

When you say "cap", do you mean I need more timing at WOT?
Can the PCM be set for different timing at different throttle positions?

The amount of timing that is pulling out can be limited - it sounds like he is doing this for higher rpm ranges.

As long as you aren't running out of fuel (fuel volume dropping / injectors at 100%DC), you aren't burning a tremendous amount of oil, and your compression is reasonable for pump gas then it is probably the tune.

It's definitely not my fuel flow, I just had the Racetronix system installed before the tune and it was a monster on the meter.
