LS1 Edit Question *DELETED*

To answer your question, no it will not work 100%. The 2000 vehicles still had EGR so for starters, he'd trip a SES. In addition, the cam specs are different between the years which affects the timing tables. The 2001+ cars didn't need as much timing. I've run a 2000 timing table in my '02 Z28 without any issues though.
Now all this can be corrected with LS1 Edit, such as turning off the EGR system but he'll then need another PCM license to edit the 2000 PCM as is and the VIN won't match. I suggest he take it to a dealer to be reflashed to 2001 code and his VIN. He can use the PCM to get him to the dealer as is.
