Default Changing OS with HPTuners

How do I load (and where do I get) a stock OS? I currently have a MAF enhanced os in my ecm (and I don't have the stock OS,) but I have an older version of hptuners that will not allow me to edit the ecm (I can't afford to buy an additional vehicle license at the moment). I just need to see if this thing is going to start (been having some electrical problems).

If you don't have the stock OS your best bet would probably be the repository.

So I can just get any .hpt file from the repository and it will have the os? For instance my ecu is a 2000 so just find a stock 2000 tune and do a rewrite entire?
