Default HELP! Rev limiter kicks in randomly!

2001 SS Camaro M6, Stock long block
The last two times at the track it seems that my rev limiter kicks in at random
rpm's. Cant remember if ses light comes on or not. Yet on the dyno and street everything works fine! Only happens at the track. Doesn't matter if I have race gas or 93. Even after I put headers and exhaust and a tune, it still did it. Everything else is stock, What in the world could this be. I don't want to throw a pushrod or something because I keep hitting rev lim. What could this be. Didn't read any codes when hp tuners was plugged in! PLEASE HELP!

Are you going by the factory tach or after market tach? My factory tach can not keep up with my engine revs. when i hit the rev limiter my tach reads around 5000, kind of makes it hard to hit the shifts rite.

Unless you're hitting the limiter around 3000-5000, it might just be that your tach is off (as most are.)
When I got my shift light and the 3K RPM test pill, I was amazed at how much different they were to each other.
