Do i need a programer?
I recently got 4.10s in the rear and I need to fix the spedo. I know buying like a handheld tuner would fix this but I really do not want to spend the 300 or so. There is also the option of ordering a tune online and reprograming my pcm that way but it's still like 250. Are there any kind of calibrators that don't come at such a high price, I'm a college student just looking to save a few dollars here and there. haha. All help appreciated thank you.

If you can find a local tuner, they might be able to do it cheap.
Otherwise, this is a free methods that only requires a calculator and some tape.
Compare the old ratio to your new ratio and place tape marks on the speedo showing the new speed.
Say your old ratio was 3.23 and the new ratio is 4.10.
So 4.10 / 3.23 = 1.269 Your speedo is running 27% faster than the actual speed.
At 60 mph with your old gears, the speedo now reads 76 mph with the 4.10. Now place tape over the 75 mph area and mark it saying 60. Tacky but works.
