Default wb sensor location

I have dual exhaust with an x pipe. I am thinking about putting the AEM wide band sensor in the x pipe to read both banks. What do you guys think?

If it is in a Mazda it won't work

If the X is before any cats it is not a bad idea.

Damn Mazda. I should of went with a BMW.

No cats to worry about. Didn't know if there would be to much turbulance or funny air flow in the x pipe.

It's not like a MAF so turbulence doesn't matter so long as it is in the exhaust path. Obviously the best would be 8 sensors, but if you are going to use 1 having it there is not a bad idea. Personally I would prefer to keep it on 1 bank so that you can isolate any problem (put a bung in both sides and you can move the sensor to check).

Closer to the engine the better.

If you have LT headers, put it in the area that the "front" o2 is.

thanks for the advice. I like the idea of a bung in both sides.
