Default which PCM and wire harness

Hello all,

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the conversion section, But anyway, I was wondering what year wiring harness and PCM is best. I am putting a 5.3l into a 2000 extreme S10. All I have so far is the engine, camaro intake manifold, '05 corvette oil pan, and a turbo.

I think I read somewhere that the BCM is integrated into the computer on my year model truck, so I may have to keep the stock computer as well. If this is true, I'll need a PCM that mounts inside the dash as I won't have room under the hood for 2 PCM's.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just a little about myself, This is not my first V8 swap, nor is it my first FI swap. I just usually get everything from a single donor vehicle.

This is my first time having anything to do with a LSx motor, and it is my first time putting a FI swap together piece by piece. And it is my first time to build a turbo setup.

Sounds like an interesting project...I am doing an S-10 conversion now as well. 99-02 V-8 truck pcm and harness will be your best price/ technical solution.

I am currently working on the motor/body stuff right now. My goal is to run without the s-10 pcm. I don't think it will be a problem.
