help with PCM please.. having some issues with the ls1, some have told me to try to take the neg. battery cable off and let the pcm reset.
what settings does the computer reset to? will it go back to the last tune that i got?

When power is taken off the PCM, you loose your fuel trim data, idle learn, & stored DTCs.
The tune that is in there is there for good until someone changes it with an editor like HP Tuners.
If your check engine light is on and your don't have a scanner, take the car to Autozone and have them scan it for free, then come back here to post any codes.
Post up your problems and any mods you have done.

ok, thanks, it is a 79 and i dont have a check engine light. i am going to try to get it my buddy with hptuners as soon as possible.

it is a 2000 ls1 out of an SS, with a crane either 216/224 or 224/224, both with .551 lift, pacesetter LT's with true duals, and a homemade air intake setup. z06 MAF.
the guy i bought the MAF from said it a resistor in it, would that have anything to do with it?
