question about ecu

I have a 98 ss m6. i wanted to get a diablo predator, but it says only for 99 and above. Can i just swap out ECU's, my 98 for a 99, and will that let me be able to tune with predator? thanks for the help.

You'd need to get a 99+ instrument cluster to use a 99+ PCM. Not sure what else is different. If you're willing to learn go with EFI live or HP tuners.

you dont need a 99 instrument cluster if you do the swap with efi live, the only hardware you need to change is the PCM.
