Some help please with a Cam only ZO6 tune I have a problem I haven't been able to solve with my 02 ZO6. Mods are LG Pro Headers, 232/236 dur. .585/.585 lift on 112 LS cam, and a Blackwing.
I've attached two files for anyone that can help. Now for the problem. Everything is fine and drivability is good EXCEPT when I restart it when already warmed up and it surges and tries to die for the first 20 sec. If you look at the log file about 1/3 into it I shut down and restarted the engine and captured what is happening. You can see that rpm's drop to 300-400 several times before it stabilizes. LTFT's are good, STIT's and LTIT's are good, WOT is good. But what is happening in the first 20 sec. after start up? Again cold start is great. Just warm starts are a problem. Very frustrating when I stop to fuel up and the car dies trying to pull out of the gas station. Also it doesn't seem to happen until I start to move. Goes like this. Start engine, fires fine, idles fine, put it in gear and start to pull out, engine surges and sometimes dies, then it finally finds a stable idle and no more problem. Help please. Plenty have used bigger cams than mine and say drivabilty is great and have no problems. I can also attach a stock ZO6 file for comparison so it can easily be seen what I have already done to the tune if that would help.
