my car is a m6, I want to get something to read and reprogram, will ls1 edit do it or do I need auto tap also, and I also need a lap top too right?, what about the ls1 scan master (stand alone unit) whats you opinion?

 

You'll need LS1 edit to actually program the PCM and Atap to monitor what the car is actually doing. And yes you'll need a lap top. Don't know jack about the scan master - can't believe it would be as good as the LS1 Edit combined with the Atap.

But I just cant see spending almost-LS1edit price for a completely lacking handheld programmer that can do 3 or 4 things. Not that that has anything to do with your post. LoL.

You can't sell LS1edit used because it locks it's self to one PCM. If you pay them another $150 for each VIN it can be hooked up to other cars though.
