LS1 Edit & Moving PCM to Different Car

Default LS1 Edit & Moving PCM to Different Car

Since LS1 Edit locks to the PCM. Can you move the PCM to another car??

yes
edit: Of the same year since the wire harness changed at least once. If you check the pin outs and everything is the same between the two years you should be fine.

My friend is getting rid of his car, so the plan is moving the PCM from a 2000 M6 to a 99 A4.

Hmm different year and tranny. I dunno if that will work. Maybe try the ls1edit mailing list, http://www.ls1edit.com

Made a mistake, his PCM was from a A4. But we went ahead and tried it anyway. Works fine. Now I can use LS1Edit.

Anything different between the years in the PCM?
