Default Deciding on tuner...have some questions

I'll start with some background. I am looking for to buy either efilive or hptuners and was wondering which would be best for what I want to do. I am driving a 2002 Z28 with minor mods. I am looking at getting full exhaust with some other bolt ons in the future. I bracket race almost every weekend and that is my main reason for buying. I am looking to tune for consistency rather than max power. So my questions are, which would be best for me? Also if I went with HPTuners, is the Pro version worth the extra $150 for what I want to do?
Thanks in advance

Arrow Search.

A search will be your best friend. I spent a couple weeks doing searches and reading everything. Both will do what you want. I personally went with HP Tuners pro and love it. I'm running their 1 bar SD tune and have found the real time tuning to be really easy to work with. The pro version with a wideband will probably do really nicely for you.

Thanks man...I have been doing a lot of reading and am catching on slowly. One thing I am a little confused about is the wideband tuning. What really is the purpose of it and is it really worth the money for what I want to do?

Man, you do have alot of reading to do.
A WB is basically a very accurate oxygen sensor, that you can integrate with your scanner to tell you what your air fuel ratio is.
It works off a 0-5 volt reference, as opposed to your narrow band 02s, that your PCM uses, that work off a 0-1 volt ref. WB is much more accurate.

The WB is the only thing that will ensure you don't lean your engine out too much when pushing hard on the throttle.
