EFI compatibility with windows vista?

just got a new laptop...it came with Windows Vista and not XP. I searched efi.com(wich reccomended XP) as well as the stickies and didn't see anything mentioned about Vista. Can Vista be used to tune? Or do I need XP?

EFI LIVE works fine with VISTA. I've been using it for nearly a year on my laptop. One suggestion I will make is that you allow full access privileges to the EFI Live folder in Program files. The 7.5 update gave me an issue in that I couldn't full flash without these rights set to full access or opening the tune tool as an administrator.. Once set to full rights its all fine.

You also have compatibility modes you can enable in Vista if things dont run stable.

Rhino79 tuned mine yesterday with EFI LIVE on Vista no problems to report.

I use HP Tuners with Vista Premium, no issues.. though if I could go back I'd just keep Windows XP SP2, much faster.
