LS1 into Hotrod wireing help ! Hi all,
looking at repowering a hotrod with an ls1 and m6.
Will come with a factory engine loom and PCM.
What is involved in wireing up to get this to run ? and what do I need to alter in the PCM, VATs etc
Are there any threads on the subject or links. ( couldn't come up with much in a search)

That will depend on the set up. I don't know of a "how to setup the harness and PCM for hot rods" link or thread.
I think you need to list:
What kind of column and ignition
Manual or auto
How do you want to control the fuel pump
What year engine and PCM
What kind of exhaust
etc.
Then we can take it step by step - no?

i can give you a link to a guy who has done most of our conversions(rx7s) and is realtivly cheap(185.00).the harness comes back labeled and all needed wires brought out.power,switched power,fule pump,fans,data wire for obd 2 hookup,skip shift delete,rear o2 delete ect ect.i used him for my swap.he has made a jig for the harness and turnaround time is about a week.

Ok not sure of all the details , not my car.
Going in a 36 roadster
will be an 02-04 ls1 (not fly buy wire)
manual trans
custom headers and lake pipes, will fit o2s after headers,no cats
Is a purpose built hotrod loom necesary, or can a factory loom be modded 2 run factory PCM ?
