I have a multi (2 car) license LS1Edit "box" (for lack of better word).
Tonight when I tried to tune one of the cars, I could not get it to work. I locked it to one of the cars but have not locked it to the other yet.
I downloaded the "factory" tune out of the car (LS1_Prog) so I could start editing but when I went into LS1 Edit, under the file name it says "This is a 1999 Camaro LS1 5.7 Liter PCM, that you didn't license" and I can't edit it ("edit" up at the top by "file" and "help" is not selectable).
Can anyone tell me what in the world is going on here?
Do I have to have both cars "locked" in before I can start tuning with it? I need help ASAP!
Thanks,
Chris

thanks....the guy with the "box" has the 99/00 files, we were just trying to be lazy and use what I already had on the computer.
Thanks again
Thanks again

Sounds like you got it, the software is locked down to the computer year segments. You need the new version with both year segments in one from Ken.

is the actual LS1 Edit program different in any way between years?
I have a 2001 (my car) but the guy who I'm helping has a 1999 car. His "box" is for a 99/00 car but we used my 2001 program (on my laptop). Could that have caused the problem.

Yes, the software is keyed to year groups. 97/98, 99/00, and 01/02 are all unique. Email Ken and let him know what two year vehicles you'll be needing to edit, and he'll set you up with the proper files.
