Default Stumble/miss, MAF Problems

I've been having a stumble with my car that is getting bad and really pissing me off to say the least. When I say stumble i really mean a bad miss. I thought my latest tune might have been the culprit, so I went as far as loading up a stock tune and it still does it. If you let the car set there and idle, it does great for a minute and then you can hear the dead miss and even see the erratic shaking of the shifter. WHen you are driving it will start missing hard and its a pain to drive, then it will clear up if you hammer it, but then go right back to missing. It seems sparatic. I've checked plugs, wires, vaccum lines, tune, etc..and nothing. I DID however unplug the MAF and it will start up and run fine, like its still plugged up.
So has anyone had this trouble?

By the way the MAF IS turned on.

I had a similar issue last summer and replaced the MAF, all was well.
