Default Define this OBD1 code for me please

16 A low resolution pulse was not detected by ECM within 720 high resolution timing pulses.

This is what my AutoXray found... displayed this only "16 Low res Pulse" did some searching on the net and found this from http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/94_57P.shtml

What does it mean??

thanks

16 is Distributor Ignition System (low resolution pulse). From my understanding it's a stored code and not too unusual. Clear it and see if it keeps coming back, if it does check the OPTI harness connections first - doesn't necessarily mean the OPTI is bad. Not an LT1 guy so I'm not positive, someone else will chime in.

You hit it pretty good for not being an LT1 guy. could be the connector at the opti, or the other end of the jumper harness. Or it could be the opti. I've seen alot of the jumper harnesses bad.

Thanks, I did replace the opti with a MSD which came with a new connector, However I should check the other end of the Harness, Thanks so much.
