Default Stock PCM or Standalone?

I have a '96 LT1. It's going to the machine shop for the 383 stroker treatment. I'm doing all of the necessary upgrades, injectors, larger throttle body, etc. I'm prepping the motor for future supercharging, low boost as well. I need some help deciding whether to use the stock ECM or go stand alone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i have not heard a good argument for an aftermarket system unless you are going with low impedance injectors.

Thanks. It seems like most guys are just tuning the stock ecm.
