Wideband O2 to EGR Input for Logging
1. My PCM has the hardware to monitor a 0-5 VDC signal from an EGR valve, right?
2. Since my car is a 2001 model, does it have an EGR valve?
(I'm assuming no since my HP Tuner says it's disabled)
3. If I enable the EGR in the PCM, will I have to 'zero' all the values associated with the EGR in the tuning tables? Here are the tables I found:
a. EGR Airflow
b. EGR Spark Advance Correction
c. Set the enabling speeds from 0 to 160 mph
4. I found out the relationship between the 0-5 VDC signal is linear with the AFR output. Where do I enter the function into VCM Scanner to change the 0-5 VDC signal to display AFR?
5. Finally, right now I am using the 0-5 VDC signal from the LC-1 for an AFR guage I have installed in the car. Can I solder 2 additional wires to my guage and use for the input to the PCM? This will allow me to log data and also see my guage working. If the voltage drop across the guage is very very low (like most all volt meters), I should be able to do this, I think..
I would greatly appreciate any help, ideas, or comments. I look forward to tieing in my wideband O2 with the VCM scanner so I can get started tuning. Thanks again for your help!!
