If I decide to convert my truck to a cable throttle and get rid of the "fly by wire" what all do I need to do? Can I just turn off all the codes in Edit or do I need a reflash at the dealer.

You would have to add the wiring for the IAC and TPS (7 wires total), in addition to reflashing the PCM with a file for a cable driven throttle.
We've done these conversions both ways. It seems guys that have fly by wire don't want it, while guys that don't have it, want it!!

OK, so by reflashing with a file from a cable throttle vehicle is that going to cause my edit to not work because of a different VIN or can a dealer put in the required file and keep my VIN. Just trying to weigh the cost of this conversion-the ETC is too touchy.
