Default P0171 and P0174 codes???

I keep getting P0171 and P0174 codes everytime my check engine light comes on. After the code comes on the car starts stumbling all over the place. but 10 seconds later the car runs normal again. I was told it was the MAF or a number of things I changed the O2 sensors, spark plugs, wire, and even check to see if the intake manifold or EGR was leaking but i got nothing. I was wondering if there is a way to check the MAF??? I have a port and descreen MAF and its been extremely cold lately and wondering if that had anything to do with it??? Please let me know? Thanks

171 = lean bank one
174 = lean bank two

maf scaling is off due to the porting possibly. dunno how true that would be. it seems extreme cold plays hell with these numbers. do you have a stock maf to test out or have access to one?

I've been getting these 2 codes too, since I changed form a stock MAF to a new granetelli unit w/ cold air tuning.

Well its been getting warmer here and the light has gone off im guessing the extreme cold did have something ot do with it i'm going to wait til the weather hits 40 degrees and see if the its just because its cold
