My car is doing a similar thing. It will initially hesitate, then it will go. I just had my tune changed because my long trim fuel was over 25 all the time setting a P0171 and P0174 code. I've noticed that my long trims are in the negative now, meaning that the computer has to lean out the mixture. I'm going to go back to the tuner, and it should be done this time. I would check and change the tune.

maf frequency needs to be readjusted for the cold air intake. Then VE table needs to be modified for the cam. pumping effeciency changes from the cam. You may be rich up top. What does your wideband say when it chokes out? If you go wot what are your fuel trims? Since those are both rich codes per bank I am assuming it is a problem with your tune. Has this just started happening or has it been since a modification? weather changes maybe making the problem worse?
