Not better or worse...different.
The tunes in the regular Predator are set up for a stock-bolt on car.
The tunes in the SLP Predator are designed for use with SLP's own PowerPacs.
Check their power pack for your application, and if you have most of the parts listed, those tunes will likely serve you well.
If the car is stock, get the standard tool.
What kind of car is this for?
FYI, the standard tool has a wider range of end user adjustment than the SLP unit.
