98 ss with problem well here it is i just put a new motor in my camaro and got every thing hooked up and i went to start it and the motor turns but no fuel pump and some of my gauges don't work like mileage battry etc and i pluged my code reader into my dieagnostic port and every thing works motor fired up and no problems so i umpluged the code reader and the motor shut off im not sure what is wrong anyone got any suggestions thanks josh
Just ground your PCM. it has an internal ground that gives out. I had the same prob. Just splice both ends of a wire, put one end on the case of the PCM, anywhere on it, and put the other to a bolt or anything that will ground it, and it will fire right up. then find a way to keep it connected to the PCM, a small screw works but dont go through the case. you can put a "O" connector on the end and put tape around it too. then ground the other end with your other ground that is on the passenger side fender well.
