Stock converter: I used to have a 2-3 shift around 6400rpm and 79-80mph
Now w/the new converter I shift around 6200rpm and 77mph. (I did not touch shift rpm's yet or mph)
I need to up that so I can spray to 6200 and have a couple hundred extra rpm left to go before it shifts.
From my understanding BOTH MPH and RPM have to be met for a shift to happen?
So whichever requirement is met last, will be the deciding factor on when to shift?

You sure it is not shifting at the same rpm? The tachs are a little lazy, i would datalog the run and see where exactly you are shifting.
A converter should not make the WOT shift any sooner.
The pcm needs to see the mph before it allows a WOT rpm shift, otherwise it will hit the rev limiter.
