P1415 code, DBW question? Throttle body malf?
P1415 code, DBW question? Throttle body malf? Car runs great then doenst. I will unplug the maf and it will run good again for a short time. Then it will throw the maf code and run really poor again. Im also getting a p1415 code which states that there is an issue with the DBW throttle body. Car will hardly start and will not stay running. It went into REDUCED ENGINE SPEED mode a couple times. Any ideas? Im guessing the motor is going out in my DBW or there is a short of some sort. My brand new batter went completely dead too in less than a week! It was an optima red top. I know i have to have some sort of electrical problem but not sure where to start.

P1415 is for the secondary air injection, nothing to do with the throttle body at all...

the print off at autozone said it was on the c5. Said it could be a bad motor on dbw, pinched or bad connection, bent blade thats hung up ect... I looked at those codes and they are different from the ones i received. I also checked the manual. Car also dies when you hit the brakes. read something that made me wonder about the VATS. any more ideas?
Learn something every day... DBW began in Vette's in 97 from what I can find. HUH! Who woulda guessed it.
Still, that link I posted earlier specific to the 2000 C5 and as I stated, its got nothing to do with the TB, the DBW, or anything else related...
Did you have the codes reset yet, or reset them yourself?
If its VATS related, I'm gonna have to defer to the vette specialists. P1415 I can do, unknown VATS issues.... a bit more than I can tackle for a car thats (obviously) quite different than my 02 WS6.

Verdad Gallardo Sorry guys...Your right it was code p1514. My bad. Also...My battery keeps going dead fast and its NEW and when the car starts it dies when i hit the brake pedal or turn any lights on like its stealing the juice from the coil packs. Any thoughts?
