Tuning Program Interoperability???

Tuning Program Interoperability??? I have an 01 Z06 that the previous owner had tuned at LG Motorsports. I've made some changes since I bought it and I would like to be able to tweak the tune myself.
Assuming the PCM isn't locked, will I be able to download the current tune and read it in its entirety if the program I use isn't what LG used originally?
Or, if I use a different tuning program (HPTuners is my preference) will I basically have to start from scratch.
Anyway, thanks for the help. This is the first time I've not been able to find what I need with the search engine. Great site.
