Could PCM issue cause loss of 3rd and 4th gear?

Could PCM issue cause loss of 3rd and 4th gear?

I bought a 94 trans with a monster kit trans shift kit that only has 15000 miles on it and the car has cam, hooker exhaust, headers, kn intake, and emissions has been taken off, but the PCM in the car is a 95 and it is on a stock tune right now. I am waiting for the one from the tuner to get in. Could this PCM be causing me to only have 1st and second gear. it is very hesistant when i floor it and i take it into 2nd gear to about 5000 rpms and never goes into third. the other day I lost reverse, but it came back and this is when i lost 3rd and 4th.????

YOu probably lost the 3-4 clutch pack. time for a new one or rebuild

I am thinking the linkage is off?

checked the linkage and it is fine.... car seems confused, like it is a tuning issue with the trans. not sure though cause just got the pcm tuned....confused...anyone?
