I'm trying to go back and retune a car I tuned with EFILive a while back. I'd rather use Hptuners but I keep getting a security denied, exceeded number of attempts.

Its not locked, efilive gets right into it. It loads seed FFFF in the status window.. That just doesn't sound right. Anyone know what it should be?

 

If the seed is FFFF the key is also FFFF. The PCM may have been reprogrammed as a replacement unit through TIS. Some 'replacement' PCM's have this seed/key relationship which is not the standard GM seed/key relationship and as such some editors have a problem unlocking the unit. EFI Live has no problem getting into such a unit.

 

I'm going to change the seed so I can get into it with any software.. Thats why I was wondering what it should be.
