Default Keep on burning up dynotune wideband sensor!!!

I have a dyno tune wideband kit. About every 2k i have to replaced the sensor because it stops reading. Ive checked the ground and its fine, its installed horizontally on the side of the y-pipe. Is this normal. Also ive seen an extended bung that take the sensor out of the exhaust stream that is supposed to make them last longer. Does that work? This is on a properly tuned turbo ls1 car.

Thanks.

Horizontal, [or below], may allow a collection of moisture in the cap. This will destroy the sensor.
I always mount them at an angle at/above 10 to 2 o'clock.

The instructions with my LC1 said the same thing. It's probably what is causing your problem too.

Okay what if i mounted in a pipe that was runing almost straight up&down. Then would it matter since moisture could never build up.
