Tune required?

Tune required? Just a quick question...I am planning on tuning with EFI live but I have the option to put some parts on before the tune...a month or two earlier actually. I'm planning to put a 160 degree thermostat in the car and just needed to know if you have to tune the LS1's for the change or is it all good without????
The Thermostat will open at 160, although your fans won't kick on until the normal temp. You can put it in but probably won't notice any difference until the fans are tuned to kick in earlier.
You mention parts as a plural.. what else were you thinking of doing?

Thanks for the information...I thought people had mentioned that the tune was required to pull the true performance out of the thermostat. As for the parts I intend to put on the car, I'm planning on putting the LS6 intake manifold and 4.10's. The 4.10's wont be until I can get it tuned so its done at the same time. I don't believe the tune makes any difference to the manifold does it? Again thanks for the help
